Sweet Corn Bread Recipe

Sweet cornbread is a delightful treat that combines the hearty essence of traditional cornbread with a touch of sweetness. Its golden hue and crumbly texture, enriched by the natural sweetness of corn, create a harmonious balance of flavors, making it a delightful standalone snack.


  • Eggs – 03
  • Sugar – 135g
  • Melted Butter – 100g
  • Vanilla – 02 tsp
  • Plain Yoghurt – 500g
  • Cornmeal – 180g
  • All-purpose Flour - 40g
  • Baking Powder – 10g
  • Semolina Flour – 20g
  • Sugar to sprinkle – 30g

How to cook:

  • Whisk eggs and sugar in a large bowl.
  • Once eggs are well combined, add melted butter.
  • After that add vanilla and plain yoghurt.
  • Gradually add cornmeal and give it a good mix.
  • Mix baking powder with flour and add it to the batter.
  • Finally mix semolina flour with the batter and transfer it to a prepared 8-inch baking tray.
  • Make the surface nice and smooth and tap few times to get rid of air bubbles.
  • Sprinkle some sugar on top of the batter.
  • We need to bake this around 35-40 mins under 180C in a pre-heated oven.
