Cashew & Dried Sprats Bite

Cashews and dried sprats bite is a delightful dish with contrasting textures and flavors.


  • Dried Sprats – 100g
  • Cashew – 125g
  • Sliced Big Onions – 02
  • Curry Leaves – 02 springs
  • Garlic Cloves – 09-10
  • Chili Pieces – 2 ½ tsp
  • Vinegar – 1 ½ tsp
  • Sugar – 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to cook:

  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry cashew until golden brown.
  • Then fry curry leaves, garlic, and sliced onions separately in the same pan. When it comes to the curry leaves, frying them around 5 seconds is more than enough. If you fry them too much you will lose the nice green color.
  • Make sure onions are not over fried too. if so, they will make your mixture bitter.
  • After that fry dried sprats until golden brown and crispy.
  • Heat around 01 tbsp of oil in pan and add chili pieces, sugar, and salt as per your taste.
  • When chili pieces are slightly fried add vinegar.
  • Finally add all fried ingredients and give it a good mix around 2-3 mins under low heat.
