  • Semi-sweet Chocolate – 30g

  • Unsalted Butter – 170g
  • Cocoa Powder – 25g
  • Icing Sugar – 225g
  • Salt – ½ tsp

Ingredients:White Chocolate Ganache

  • White Chocolate – 50g
  • Whipping Cream – 25ml

Ingredients:For the Spider

  • Big Chocolate Ball – 01
  • Small Chocolate Ball – 01
  • Melted Chocolate for Legs

How to cook:

  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar together and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, yoghurt, vanilla, and buttermilk.
  • Add coffee into this.
  • After that gradually add dry ingredients into this and give it a good mix.
  • When the batter is ready, transfer it to 8” x 8” baking tray and bake the cake around 40-45mins under 175C in a pre-heated oven.
  • After baking let the cake cool down completely.
  • To make spider legs, draw leg shapes on a baking sheet with melted chocolate and refrigerate it until set. These spider legs are very small, and they might break when assembling the cake. So, make sure you make some extra legs.
  • Next step is to make the chocolate ganache. For that, beat butter until super soft.
  • Then add cocoa powder into this.
  • After that add salt and icing sugar.
  • Finally melt chocolate with whipping cream and add it to the icing mixture.
  • Then spread this chocolate ganache all over the cake.
  • To make the spider web, fill a piping bag with the white chocolate ganache. Mark a place on the cake where you need to start the web and then draw spirals starting from that point.
  • After that, drag it along with a toothpick to give it a spider web look.
  • Fix the spider in the starting point of your web by using the big chocolate ball for the body and small chocolate ball for the head.
  • Give eyes to your spider with some white chocolate ganache.
  • User legs you make earlier to complete the spider.
  • Enjoy…
