Muskat Recipe

If you are a sugar lover, you can very easily make this Muskat recipe for your teatime. Out of so many ways of making Muskat, this is how we make Muskat by using corn flour.


  • Corn Flour – 150g
  • Water – 250ml
  • Sugar – 400g
  • Water – 500ml
  • Ghee / Melted Butter – 08 tbsp
  • Cardamom – ½ tsp
  • Food Coloring
  • Chopped Cashew – 100g
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • How to cook:

  • First dissolve corn flour in water. Make sure there are not any lumps.
  • In another pan, dissolve sugar in water under medium heat.
  • When sugar dissolves completely, add cardamom and salt as per your taste.
  • When sugar mixture starts bubbling, add prepared corn flour mixture. Before adding the corn flour mixture into sugar make sure you give it a good mix again.
  • After adding corn flour, it needs to continuously stir this. Otherwise, these corn flour may form flour lumps.
  • When the mixture becomes bit thicker gradually add melted butter.
  • Then add your favorite food coloring.
  • When the Muskat mixture comes to the right consistency, without sticking on the sides of the pan we can combine chopped cashew.
  • Transfer your Muskat into a prepared tray and let it cool down completely around 3-4 hours. As the mixture cools down, it becomes bit harder and set nicely. Then we can get it out of the pan and cut into your desired size pieces.
