Jello Mousse Cake

This jello mousse cake is incredibly delicious and the perfect dessert for your teatime.

Ingredients:Cake Batter

  • All-purpose Flour – 125g
  • Sugar – 125g
  • Salted Butter – 125g
  • Eggs – 02
  • Fresh Milk – 02 tbsp
  • Baking Powder – 01 tsp
  • Vanilla – 01 tsp

Ingredients:Jelly Mousse

  • Strawberry Jelly – 85g
  • Whipping Cream – 150ml
  • Hot Water
  • Fresh Strawberry Slices

How to cook:

  • Make half of the jelly packet and refrigerate it to set. For this recipe you can get any flavor of jelly you want.
  • To make the butter cake batter, mix baking powder with flour and keep it aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  • When butter becomes creamy add eggs one at a time and beat more.
  • Add vanilla.
  • After that gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix well to combine.
  • When dry ingredients are well combined add fresh milk. You can even get powdered milk for this.
  • Transfer the batter into 8” size round baking tray and bake the cake around 30-35mins under 180C in a pre-heated oven.
  • After baking let the cake cool down completely.
  • To make the jelly mousse, first we need to mix the prepared jelly again.
  • Then, in a separate bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff peaks are formed.
  • When whipping cream is ready, add prepared jelly and beat well to make the mousse.
  • Spread the jelly mousse on the cake. Make sure your cake is completely cool down before spreading the mousse.
  • To make the cake eye-catching we can place some fresh strawberry slices on top.
  • After that refrigerate the cake until mousse sets.
  • Mix remaining half of the jelly packet with hot water and let it cool down.
  • Once the mousse is set, slowly pour prepared jelly on the mousse.
  • Again, refrigerate the cake under jelly layer sets completely.
