Garlic Mozzarella Bread Recipe

Homemade garlic mozzarella bread is a delectable and mouthwatering dish that combines the comforting flavors of freshly baked bread, aromatic garlic, and gooey mozzarella cheese. This delightful appetizer or side dish is a favorite among food enthusiasts and is often enjoyed in various forms worldwide.

Ingredients:For the dough

  • All-purpose Flour – 250g
  • Instant Dry Yeast – 5g
  • Sugar – 25g
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Unsalted Butter – 42g
  • Warm Milk – 125ml
  • Whisked Egg – 01
  • Flour for Kneading
  • Mozzarella & Cheddar Cheese – 250g

Ingredients:Garlic Butter Paste

  • Softened Butter – 02 tbsp
  • Minced Garlic – 01 tsp
  • Chopped Spring Onion – 02 tbsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Black Pepper

How to cook:

  • First, stir yeast with some sugar and warm milk and let it rise around 5 mins.
  • After that in a large bowl, combine flour, salt, remaining milk, sugar, melted butter, egg and prepared yeast.
  • Transfer the dough onto a floured board and knead it until soften by using your hands. You will have to knead this around 10 mins.
  • When the dough is ready, cover it and let it rise until double sized. This might take 1 ½ - 02 hours depending on the climate you live.
  • To make the garlic butter spread, in a small bowl, mix butter, chopped spring onions, garlic and salt as per your taste.
  • When the dough is ready, flat it like a circle by using your hands.
  • After that mark lines horizontally and vertically on the dough by using a knife. Make sure you don’t separate it from lines.
  • Then spread the prepared garlic butter paste and put cheese on the marked lines.
  • Finally, sprinkle some black pepper on top and bake the bread around 20-25 mins under 200C in a pre-heated oven.
  • Serve hot for a better taste.
