Garlic Butter Prawns

There’s no wonder that prawns are everyone’s favorite. When these tasty prawns coated with garlic and butter the taste would be irresistible.


  • Large Prawns – 30-35
  • Lemon Juice – ½ tsp
  • Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  • Chili Pieces – ½ tsp
  • Unsalted Butter – 75g
  • Chopped Garlic – 3 tbsp
  • Cornstarch – 4 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
  • How to cook:

  • Clean and wash prawns thoroughly and put them into a bowl.
  • After that add chili pieces, pepper powder, salt and cornstarch to prawns and give it a good mix. Cornstarch will add a nice crunch and a nice texture to your prawns. If you don’t have cornstarch, you can use corn flour. After mixing set this aside around 30 mins.
  • Keep a pan on the stove and drizzle little bit olive oil in it. Olive oil can prevent your butter burning.
  • Once oil is heated a bit, add butter, and melt in it. Once butter is melted add prawns into this and cook around 2-3 mins or until they become golden brown. After that, flip all the prawns and cook around 2 more mins.
  • Once cooking is done, get all prawns out of the pan and add more butter to the pan and melt.
  • Then add chopped garlic and squeeze some lemon juice.
  • Cook the garlic mixture around 2 mins and then add cooked prawns and mix it thoroughly with garlic butter.
