Funfetti Cake Recipe

This light and fluffy cake has loads of sprinkles baked into the batter. This buttery and extra sweet cake is more than your normal vanilla cake. This cake is very popular for birthdays. Don’t forget to give it a try.

Ingredients: Cake Batter

  • Margarine – 250g
  • All-purpose Flour – 250g
  • Sugar – 250g
  • Eggs – 04
  • Fresh Milk – 02 tbsp
  • Baking Powder – 02 tsp
  • Vanilla – 01 tsp
  • Sprinkles

Ingredients: Butter Icing

  • Icing Sugar – 350g
  • Butter (Room Temperature) – 150g
  • Vanilla – 01 tsp
  • Fresh Milk – 01 tbsp
  • Food Coloring (Optional)

Method

  • Beat margarine and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Mix baking powder with flour and add it to margarine mixture.
  • Add vanilla and milk to the batter.
  • Add sprinkles and give it a light mix.
  • Transfer this batter into a baking pan and bake the cake around 35-40mins under 180° C in a pre-heated oven.
  • To make butter icing, beat butter until light and creamy.
  • Then add vanilla.
  • Add half of the icing sugar to the butter mixture.
  • After that add milk and rest of the icing sugar.
  • Once the cake is baked, horizontally divide the cake into two from the middle.
  • Apply butter icing on one cake and then keep the other half of the cake on top of that.
  • Cover the whole cake with rest of the butter icing.
  • Decorate the cake with some more sprinkles as you desired.
