Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

These chocolate crinkle cookies are so fudgy and chocolaty inside. This super easy cookie is a perfect anytime treat. No decoration. No hard processes. All the magic happens in the oven.

Ingredients:For 25 cookies

  • All-purpose Flour – 180g
  • Cocoa Powder – 60g
  • Baking Powder – 01 tsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Butter (Room Temperature) – 115g
  • Sugar – 200g
  • Eggs – 02
  • Vanilla – 01 tsp
  • Chocolate Chunks – 100g
  • Icing Sugar – 60g
  • Method:

  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Set it aside until use.
  • In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture and beat more.
  • Then add vanilla into this.
  • After that gradually add flour mixture and mix well to combine.
  • After combining all flour add chocolate chunks.
  • Cover this dough and keep it in the fridge around 1-2 hours.
  • Then get the dough out of the fridge, get small amount of dough by using a spoon and roll it into a ball.
  • After making a nice ball you can roll on the ball in icing sugar and keep it on a baking tray. Continue this process until your dough is over.
  • By the time you finish making balls, if your icing sugar is disappeared in the first made balls, roll them again in icing sugar. Coating these balls in icing sugar is very important for these crinkle cookies. Otherwise, they will just look like brownie cookies.
  • Now bake these cookies around 10-12mins under 180C in a pre-heated oven. They will not fully bake in the oven. Magic happens as they cool down.
  • Get these cookies out of the oven and let them cool down in a cooling rack around 5 mins.
