Dried Fruit and Nut Biscotti

Dried fruit and nut biscotti is a very simple Christmas recipe. It is originated in Italy, but now famous in many countries all over the world. These twice baked, dry, and crunchy biscotti are wonderful with your tea. You can even dip them in your tea and enjoy.

Ingredients:For 20-25 biscotti

  • Butter (Room Temperature) – 120g
  • Sugar – 100g
  • Eggs – 02
  • Baking Powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Vanilla – 1 tsp
  • Dates – 75g
  • Raisins – 75g
  • Cashew – 75g
  • All-purpose Flour – 160g
  • Method:

  • Cut dried fruits and nuts into small pieces.
  • In a bowl mix butter and sugar until it becomes creamy. Then add eggs one at a time.
  • After that add vanilla.
  • Add flour and baking powder into the butter mixture.
  • Add dried fruits and nuts. Mix until well combined.
  • Put this into a baking tray and make two big long loafs. Apply some flour on a spatula and shape the dough into nice loafs.
  • Bake this around 25mins under 180C in a pre-heated oven.
  • After baking let it cool down around 30 mins and then cut into ½ inch oblong-shaped slices.
  • Again, keep these slices on a baking tray and bake around 15-17 mins.
  • Your can even dip these biscotti in your tea and eat.
