Say Good Bye to Varicose Veins naturally
Varicose veins is a very common health issue that can be mostly seen among older and pregnant women. When it comes to women that is not only a health issue but a cosmetic issue also. Although, this is common among women this is not only a women problem . Varicose veins are also called as Varicoses or Varicosities. This situation mainly occurs when your veins become enlarged, dilated and overfilled with blood. This condition is more common in the legs, feet and thighs, but can develop anywhere in the body.
In order to circulate oxygen rich blood from lungs to all parts of the body, there are thick layers of muscles or elastic tissues in your arteries. In order to push blood back to your heart, your veins get help from network of valves and surrounding muscles. When blood flows through a vein these valves open to help flow blood properly and then close to prevent backward flow of blood. In Varicose veins, since, these valves don’t work properly blood gathers in the veins and it is difficult for muscles itself to push blood up. Then, these veins become varicose.
Simply, any action that puts excessive pressure on your legs and abdomen can create varicose veins. Potential causes of Varicose Veins:
- Pregnancy: This is due to hormonal changes in your body and your baby puts additional pressure to your legs.
- Age over 50: When you are getting older, the valves in your veins become weaker and may not function properly.
- Menopause: Due to hormonal changes
- Obesity (Being overweight): This puts extra pressure on your legs
- Standing or sitting for long period of time: When you stay at the same position for a long time, your veins have to work harder to get blood to the heart.
