Beetroot Curry with Dried Sprats

Normal Beetroot Curry is a very popular dish in Sri Lanka. Have you ever tried Beetroot with Dried Sprats?

Ingredients

  • Beet root – 300g
  • Dried Sprats – 50g
  • Green Chilies – 02
  • Red Onions – 08-10
  • Curry Leaves
  • Turmeric Powder – 01 tsp
  • Chili Powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Curry Powder – 02 tsps
  • Salt – 01 tsp (Adjust later)
  • Fenugreek – ½ tsp
  • Coconut Milk – 02 cups

Method

  • Clean beet root and cut.
  • Add green chilies.
  • Add red onions.
  • Add dried sprats.
  • Add coconut milk.
  • Add fenugreek, Salt, curry powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, curry leaves and mix well.
  • Keep the pot on fire and cook around 10-15mins.
  • Adjust salt as per your taste.
